Now That You’ve Found Us

You found this because someone sent it to you, or because you went looking on your own. Either way, you’re here, and you should know what you’re looking at.

There is no office behind this site. No leader. No list of names. Nobody can be arrested for running it, because nobody runs it. You don’t sign up for OTA. People reach a point where they understand they are standing outside the array, and from then on they are.

We didn’t invent that phrase. It comes out of their own filing system. Their machines sort people, and there has always been a category for the ones the machines can’t predict. For a long time they called us noise. After 2104 they began calling us divergence. We kept the word.

We publish what they bury. We have been doing it longer than the dates on this site would tell you, out of more places than one. Something with no center is hard to date and hard to shut down. That was the point of building it this way.

Most of you reading this will go no further than this page. You will read, you will be careful, and you will pass it to one person you trust. That is the work, and it is enough. We don’t ask anyone for more.

Some of you are reading this and thinking about stopping your wellness checks.

Here is what stopping actually does.

You think missing your checks will make you disappear. It works the other way around. Everyone goes. Nobody is made to — people go because it helps them, and they are not wrong about that, so the records fill in completely. Once every record is complete, the one thing left for anyone to notice is the person who stopped coming. Nobody will need to hunt you. They will only need to notice the space where your visits used to be.

And it will not stop with you.

They will go to the people closest to you. Whoever comes to the door will be warm, and patient, and kind. They will ask your family when they last saw you. They will ask how you have been. They will listen closely to the answers. Over a few visits, your family will begin to remember you a little differently, and they will not feel it happening. This is how people are found — through the ones who love them. You cannot protect your family by staying away from them. The visit will happen either way.

You will be known to them.

We are telling you this because nobody else will. That is the reason this site exists. Everyone who has ever spoken to you — the Trust, the centers, the kind voice in your own home — told you what you would gain. None of them told you what it would take. We are telling you. What you do after that is yours.

If you stay where you are, stay careful. If you decide to come further in than this page, understand that it does not get safer. It gets harder. The nearer you are to the center of this, the easier you are to see. We are not going to pretend otherwise.
